Built Different Enterprises was officially founded in 2022, but the character, standards, and expectations that define it were developed long before incorporation through shared experience, discipline, and a commitment to doing things properly.
Across construction and service industries, declining standards have quietly shifted expectations downward. Mediocre work has become normalized. In many cases, delivering a truly high-quality product now makes you the outlier.
We’re comfortable being that outlier. That mindset was shaped years earlier through demanding, hands-on work.
In 2019, Sub-Con Construction was launched with a focus on concrete flatwork. The company handled city sidewalks, driveways, industrial demolition and salvage, and building maintenance. Concrete leaves no room for shortcuts. That environment demanded precision, durability, and zero tolerance for weak workmanship. That discipline still carries into every project we take on today.
As demand grew on the residential side, the scope expanded. What started with concrete and maintenance steadily evolved into full renovations. Bathrooms, decks, basements, walkways, kitchens, patios. Each project building on the last and raising the standard we hold ourselves to.
Built Different Enterprises was created to reflect that growth. We are not limited to one lane of construction. We continue to expand the type and scale of projects we take on while maintaining the same standards that carried us from municipal flatwork to full residential remodels.
We also understand where specialization matters. Over the years we’ve built a trusted network of trades for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other specialty work. People we know. People we trust. That allows us to deliver complete, properly coordinated projects without compromising quality.
At the end of the day, we’re builders. We take on work we know we can execute properly, and we continue expanding our capabilities without lowering the bar. That’s how we’ve grown so far, and that’s how we plan to keep growing.
